Released Wiki in a jar v0.8: UTF-8 and table support

Version 0.8 (11/28/2008):

- NEW: Full UTF-8 support (thanks to Frank Dietrich)

- NEW: Table support

- NEW: HTML tags support: code, tt, pre

- NEW: ‘nowiki’ tag support

- NEW: Quick append box: append text to any wiki page without opening the edit view

- BUG: Calendar would show each month with 31 days (thanks to Frank Dietrich)

- BUG: Equals sign (’=') in heading would be removed

- BUG: Linux start script now uses ‘nohup’ (thanks to Reto R.)

“Wiki in a Jar” is a small Wiki written in Java with great
focus on simplicity. It is intended to run on a USB stick as
a replacement for a paper note- and address book as a
Personal Information Manager (PIM). It supports vcard (vcf)
contact files.

Wiki in a jar featured in c’t Magazine

The German computer and technology magazine, c’t, published an article about Wiki in a Jar (08/19 page 79). This would explain the mysterious run on the Wiki in a jar project site with up to 480 downloads per day (”normal” are about 200 per month) and the numerous feature requests.
